Jacopo Troisi - CEO
Jacopo Troisi (born 1981) is a biotechnologist and data analyst specializing in the application of metabolomics to medicine and surgery. After earning his degree in Biotechnology, he continued his academic path with a Ph.D. in Translational Medicine.

He is the author of the textbook Metabolomics Perspectives (Elsevier, 2022) and currently holds national academic habilitation as Associate Professor. He teaches the courses in Metabolomics and Public Health at the University of Salerno, and has also taught the Metabolomics course at the University of Sannio in Benevento.

In 2015, Dr. Troisi founded Theoreo Srl, a University of Salerno spin-off company focused on diagnostic innovation through metabolomics, and became Chief Scientific Officer of Hosmotic Srl, a company developing metabolomics-based solutions. Since 2019, he has served as Chief Operating Officer of the European Biomedical Research Institute of Salerno (EBRIS).

He is the inventor of a patented diagnostic tool for prenatal detection of fetal malformations based on metabolomics (2015), which earned him the Innovation Award from the International Society of Teratology in 2018.

He also developed and patented a metabolomics test for endometrial cancer screening (2017), validated with support from the Italian League Against Cancer (LILT) and published in JAMA in 2020.
Over the years, he has received numerous awards for his scientific achievements and the translational impact of his research in the biomedical field.
Martina Lombardi - CSO
Martina Lombardi (born 1997) graduated with honors in Biology from the University of Salerno, where she later continued her studies with a Ph.D. program in Translational Medicine.

Since 2020, Dr. Lombardi has served as Chief Scientific Officer at Theoreo Srl, leading research in metabolomic profiling for early disease screening. She is co-founder and Vice President of the European Institute of Metabolomics.

In 2022, she also held a research fellowship at the University Hospital "AOU San Giovanni di Dio e Ruggi d’Aragona", conducting studies on nonalcoholic hepatic steatosis and metabolic syndrome.
She has presented her work at numerous international conferences, including the Metabolomics Society, MANA (Metabolomics Association of North America), and the prestigious Gordon Research Conferences (GRC). Dr. Lombardi is also actively involved in the GEMMA autism study.

In addition to her research activities, she has delivered invited lectures at national and international institutions, including Erlanger Hospital (Chattanooga, TN), sharing her expertise in the application of metabolomics in translational and clinical research.
Throughout her career, she has received multiple awards in recognition of the scientific quality and impact of her research.

Born in Vico Equense in 1973, Giovanni Scala graduated in Chemistry from the University of Naples Federico II, specializing in analytical chemistry, an area in which he developed extensive theoretical and practical expertise.
Following his academic studies, he embarked on a career in analytical instrumentation, progressively taking on roles of increasing responsibility.

Until 2014, he served as CEO of Avantech S.r.l., a company specialized in the commercialization of advanced analytical instruments for chemical and clinical laboratories. In this role, he contributed to the growth of the analytical instrumentation market in Italy, fostering strong partnerships with leading academic and industrial institutions.

In 2014, he founded Hosmotic S.r.l., an innovative company active in experimental development, with a particular focus on translational research. The company is dedicated to advancing cutting-edge technologies for understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying disease, with the aim of developing novel diagnostic and therapeutic solutions.

Since 2015, he has joined Theoreo S.r.l where he serves as COO. As an inventor, he has contributed to the development of several international patents, focused on leveraging metabolic profiling as a non-invasive tool for early diagnosis and disease monitoring.
He is the author of dozens of scientific publications in high-impact peer-reviewed journals, covering topics ranging from analytical chemistry to systems biology.
